Welcome to Accelerating Education.  We exist to help teachers.  My name is Chris Geary, founder and CEO.  My team and I are all teachers with a variety of backgrounds:  Music education; Administration; HS Math, Science, and Business; and, elementary.  We experience, first hand, the high levels of stress that research demonstrates can burn out high-quality educators.  We want to help lighten that load by creating software solutions that simplify everyday routines.  This company was born because of an interaction I had with a parent that prompted me to improve in my own professional adventure.  When I reported to a parent that their child was not going to pass my class, their response shook me!  “Why didn’t you say something sooner?”  Although it was true, I didn’t want to say, “Because I don’t have time!”   I had communicated throughout the semester with the parents, but it wasn’t enough.  They still were surprised.  I had to find a way to be better.  I was reminded that parents really do care, and they really do want to help.  Often, they don’t have enough information.  That set me on a journey to find a solution that was SIMPLE and EASY.  As a teacher, I had to have something that would take LESS time and be convenient for me to implement in the regular flow of classroom management.
